Privacy Policy

Last updated July 26, 2026

This policy explains what Mrs. Common Sense collects, why, and what we do and do not do with it.

1. What We Collect

We collect only what the service needs in order to work:

  • Your name, as provided at sign-up.
  • Your email address, used to identify your account and contact you about it.
  • Your company name, used to populate the documents you generate.
  • Your answers to the HR questions in each HR Decision.
  • The documents generated for you, including the factual details you enter such as employee names, job titles, and dates.

Your answers frequently describe other people — employees, managers, and complainants. Treat that information with the same care you would any personnel record, and only enter what you need.

2. How We Use It

We use your data solely to provide the service: to produce your risk assessment, generate and store your documents, maintain your account and plan allowance, and respond to support requests.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you or of the people described in your checks.

3. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or the contents of your checks and documents to third parties.

We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the platform, and only to the extent needed to deliver the service to you.

4. How Your Data Is Stored

Account data, saved checks, and generated documents are stored with Supabase, our hosted database and authentication provider. Access is restricted by row-level security so that each account can read only its own records.

Document generation is performed by a third-party language model provider, which processes the contents of your check in order to draft the document. No training on your data is performed as part of this service.

No system is perfectly secure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Deleting Your Data

You can delete individual documents from within the app at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at hello@mrscommonsense.com and we will action the request.

Some records may be retained where we are required to keep them by law, or where they are needed to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies for session management — keeping you signed in and maintaining your authenticated session across pages. These are necessary for the platform to function.

We use your browser's local storage and session storage to hold the state of a check in progress, to carry your selections between screens, and to record that a free trial check has been used. This information stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us as a separate record.

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and communicate material changes through the platform or by email.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

9. Contact

Questions about privacy or a data deletion request can be sent to hello@mrscommonsense.com. (Contact details are a placeholder pending launch.)
